Kaolin clay and rose petals are key to this beauty recipe for dry or sensitive skin, drawing out toxins while calming easily irritated skin. This gentle exfoliant also makes use of organic powdered milk and honey, which gives your DIY scrub a moisturizing effect.
Milk & Honey Exfoliant
3 tbs (45 ml) organic oats, finely ground
6 tbs (90 ml) white kaolin clay
2 tbs (30 ml) organic rice flour
1 tbs (15 ml) organic powdered milk
1 tbs (15 ml) organic powdered honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tbs (15 ml) organic rose petals
- Crumble petals between your fingers, then combine all ingredients.
Ground organic oats are hypoallergenic and absorbent, while gently exfoliating the skin. Meanwhile, organic rice flour works harder to remove dead skin cells.
Gentle yet stimulating, White Kaolin Clay soothes the skin while absorbing impurities and exfoliating dry patches.
Powdered milk plays a key role when dry skin is in desperate need of moisture. Honey is loaded with nutrients, antioxidants and healing compounds that help to moisturize, slow down aging and fight off bacteria.
The natural oils in Rose Petals help to moisturize and soothe sensitive skin, leaving the face soft and calm. As well as bringing a sweet aroma to your homemade cosmetics, these petals are also high in Vitamin C.
TIP: Always remember to patch test any skin care product or ingredient before using a large amount – your skin matters!
